We will discuss how, and specifically what, you can do to improve your management skills, how to uncover lies, and how to effectively change corporate culture. We also will show what great reports look like, giving you insight into how to make your reports understood and actionable. What are the new skills a CFO needs to be successful in 2035? Prerequisites

Preferably at least six (6) months of professional financial statement analysis experience and/or at least six (6) months of professional experience in preparing or reviewing accounting processes and reports; experience working with internal clients or external clients and business leaders.

Objectives

  • Recognize that some recipients of financial reports do not understand those reports. Develop reports that are used properly. Understand and discuss examples of great reports and why they are useful.
  • Recognize and accept cultural differences within departments and in the entire organization. Learn how to determine the right cultural dynamics for your organization. Successfully introduce change for optimum buy-in.
  • Recognize that lies are a part of human nature. Identify and unearth lies. Learn a process to help uncover the truth.
  • To gain a deeper appreciation of newer duties and roles of today's leaders, and to learn the skillsets required to succeed.

Robert Berry, CPA, is an accountant who actually likes people more than he does numbers. With more than 20 years in the risk, audit, and compliance sector, he is an internationally recognized speaker, trainer, author and podcast host. His most recent book, Ask, Get, Perform: The Auditors Essential Guide to Asking Better Questions, Getting Better Answers, and Performing Better Audits, is changing the way auditors build relationships with clients. Robert resides in the great state of Texas.
