Ryan Northcutt, Senior Manager, Aldrich CPAs + Advisors LLP

Ryan Northcutt

Ryan Northcutt, CPA, is a senior audit manager in the financial services group of Aldrich CPAs + Advisors LLP. Ryan is the leader of Aldrich's benefit plan assurance practice. This includes leading internal training, supervision of retirement plan team members, and implementation of new technical accounting standards. He has experience auditing 401(k), 403(b), defined benefit pensions, health and welfare, and 401(a) profit sharing plans. He enjoys working with his clients to help find practical solutions to benefit plan organization and accounting issues. Ryan routinely attends the AICPA national conference on employee benefit plans. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), Western Pension and Benefits Council, and the Oregon Society of CPAs, including being the past chair of one of the OSCPA's strategic committee.

Ryan enjoys golfing, enjoying the outdoors, and spending quality time with his 8 year old son and 5 year old daughter.

Marcus Aron

Marcus J. Aron, CPA, CGMA, is the Acting Chief, Division of Accounting Services, Employee Benefits Security Administration for the U.S. Department of Labor, Washington, D.C.

Mr. Aron has over thirty years of experience in working with audits of ERISA-covered plans.As the Chief, Division of Accounting Services, Mr. Aron’s responsibilities include implementation of EBSA’s CPA Firm Inspection Program, providing technical assistance to plan filers and plan professionals, and providing ERISA-related accounting and auditing expertise within EBSA.

Mr. Aron is a certified public accountant and holds a B.B.A. degree with a major in accounting from the College of William and Mary in Virginia.

Nicole Elgin is an attorney at Barran Liebman where she advises employers on labor relations and employment law matters. In this
presentation, Nicole will cover the laws governing common compensation issues in the construction industry. Topics will include
prevailing wage rate rules, premium rate complications under the FLSA, bonus plans, project labor agreements, and other labor prehire
agreements that all affect compensation in this field. Throughout the presentation, Nicole also always provides practice considerations
and best practices for employers.

Jason earned a B.A. at San Francisco State University (Labor Studies and Philosophy) and Juris Doctor from the School of Law and the University of California, Davis (2006). Jason’s practice is focused on ERISA/employee benefits (including both retirement and health plans) and executive nonqualified deferred compensation plans.
