Who or what inspired you to get where you are today?
The people who have inspired me to go to school for my accounting degree are my Dad and Mom. They instilled in me a great work ethic and the belief that I can achieve great things if I work towards my goals. They have truly been my inspiration to work towards my goal of becoming a CPA.

How will you define success as a CPA?
My definition of success as a CPA is integrity, reliability, and professionalism. I demonstrate these values by treating others respectfully, taking time to learn from other people and experiences, and always striving to live my life with integrity and accountability. These are the values that I try to exemplify every day at school, at my part-time job, and in all areas of my life.

Tell us how you achieved one of your most recent professional goals.
One of my most recent goals that I accomplished was completing my junior year of college this last spring. This was a challenging year for me because I was taking 18 credits each semester, working part time, and commuting to school. Time management and organization were key aspects of managing my busy schedule. However, the most important piece of achieving any goal are the people around you. I am blessed to have a group of family and friends around me who encourage and challenge me to achieve my goals.

What are you most passionate about?
I became interested in accounting in high school, and what truly inspired me to become an accountant was my fascination with how accounting reveals the inner workings of a company. The area of accounting that I am the most passionate about is auditing. I have always enjoyed the investigative breakdown of information, and applying that information for analysis and decision-making.
