Who or what inspired you to get where you are today?
My biggest inspiration throughout my life has been my parents. Growing up, they always worked hard and set a positive example for me. Their work ethic inspired me to push myself in my academics and to become the best possible version of myself.
How will you define success as a CPA?
I think success as a CPA means being a leader and working hard towards your goals. It means setting a positive example of honesty and fairness.
Tell us how you achieved one of your most recent professional goals.
One of my goals was to get at least two internships before I graduate. I have accomplished this and have already completed one internship. I did this by advocating for myself and taking the initiative to find internships. I began applying for internships during my freshman year and interviewed for my first internship at age 18. This process really pushed me out of my comfort zone and allowed me to develop critical skills for the rest of my career.
What are you most passionate about?
I am most passionate about helping others and the community. My mom would bring me and my sister, at a young age, to volunteer at our local animal shelter and that really sparked my interest in community service. This then grew to joining the National Honor Society in high school and being the vice president and now to volunteering consistently for Beta Alpha Psi and my sorority, Alpha Omicron Pi.
